The original Ninja rocked the world by combining an HD hard drive recorder with a touchscreen monitor you could hold in your hand. It recorded pristine, uncompressed video directly from first-generation DSLRs onto a removable SSD. Today, Ninja handles video sources with up to nine times the resolution, has a 5-inch HDR screen, records ProRes and connects to almost any camera in the world. Coloured exposure
A powerful new addition to AtomOS 11 offers industry-renowned EL Zone and ARRI colour imaging as a selectable alternative to Atomos false colour. This allows Atomos monitors to display consistent colourised exposure across multiple monitors in the production pipeline. EL Zone was developed for camera operators. By colourising the exposure in stops, you can see the true scene-based dynamic range directly from the camera, which is ideal for exposure assessment in both HDR and SDR productions. It s a great way to see colourised exposure on a monitor, and it s industry standard.

The new Ninja has an ultra-bright 5-inch HDR display that s easy to see outdoors. Capture RAW video from a wide range of mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It s packed with on-screen tools for focus, exposure, client LUTs and metadata. Ninja takes care of your workflow while you focus on your creative ideas.
Improve your shots with precise framing and check exposure and focus on a clear, bright screen. We work with all major camera manufacturers to support the widest possible range of cameras. Not only can you record uncompressed video via HDMI, but you can also work with RAW formats and stop/start in-camera recording.
Ninja can record RAW HDMI inputs at up to 6K at 30fps while outputting a standard displayable video signal over HDMI for devices that do not support RAW formats.
With a versatile 5.2-inch SuperAtom IPS touchscreen for clear images and easy access to AtomOS features, Ninja now has a new operating system and user interface. The screen is designed for outdoor use and offers a generous 1000nits of brightness, making it easy to see even in direct sunlight. You can also adjust the screen to work best in dimly lit environments.
Multiple functions, even more versatile
You can pair the new, faster Ninja with a wide range of DSLR, mirrorless or video cameras. Choose from a range of industry-standard capture formats, including Apple ProRes, and select the best frame size, frame rate and codec for your project and requirements. Ninja also lets you record HDMI RAW inputs at up to 6K at 30 frames per second, while passing standard YCC video over HDMI to non-RAW compatible devices.

Ninja can be combined with smaller cameras as part of a minimal setup as well as with large camera rigs on large-scale productions. Ninja is made from precision materials that have been carefully crafted to ensure maximum durability. Weighing only 360g, you can use it comfortably with a handheld camera. Ninja has anti-twist ?-16 attachment points on the top and bottom. It comes with a 1-20 adapter for easy mounting on standard equipment from numerous manufacturers.
More value for your production
To save space and allow for longer recordings, many cameras record compressed 4:2:0 8-bit video internally. If the camera outputs the video via HDMI, the quality can often be maintained in a 4:2:2 8-bit or 10-bit format. Ninja can record more colour information and instantly enhance your production with existing camera equipment.
