The PocketBook Basic Lux 4 features a 6-inch touchscreen display with E-Ink Carta™ technology, which offers the highest reading comfort for the eyes. The visual characteristics of the screen are almost identical to those of a printed book page. This allows for hours of reading without eye fatigue. The screen is glare-free, so you can read comfortably outdoors even in bright sunlight.

Backlight provides reading comfort at any time of day
The screen illumination of the PocketBook Basic Lux 4 enables comfortable reading in all lighting conditions, even in complete darkness. The LED technology used is easy on the eyes and provides a pleasant reading light.

Handy, compact and energy-saving e-reader
PocketBook Basic Lux 4 is a handy and compact device that weighs only 155 g and with its dimensions of 16.1 x 10.8 x 0.8 cm fits easily into any pocket. The handy e-reader is very easy and comfortable to use thanks to its mechanical control buttons and touchscreen, with free button configuration for both left- and right-handed users. The device also stands out for its energy efficiency: One battery charge is enough for up to one month of active reading.

You can also access digital content from public libraries with the PocketBook Basic Lux 4 via the built-in Onleihe app. The internal memory of 8 GB offers enough space for your digital library. Thanks to the memory card slot, you can also expand it as needed.

The connection to the Internet also allows you to download software updates to the device, as well as upload new books to the device with just a few clicks via Send-to-PocketBook or Dropbox. The e-reader comes with 11 pre-installed dictionaries, with another 42 language combinations available for free download.
